Summary

Product Identification

The Pure HiTemp Depth Filter is a meltblown nylon filter designed for extremely high temperature and high viscosity applications.

Features and Benefits:

  • 100% nylon media with nylon core for greater strength and temperature resistance.
  • No resin binders, lubricants, antistatic, or release agents; melt-bonded exterior prevents media migration.
  • Large chemical compatibility.

Applications:

  • High temperature and high viscosity solutions
  • Paints, coatings, printing inks
  • Fuels and lubricating oils
  • Solvents
  • Hot, non-aqueous fluids

Micron Ratings (nominal):

  • 1, 5, 10, 25, 50, 75, 100, 125, 150, 200 µm

Materials of Construction:

  • Filter Media: Meltblown Nylon
  • Adapters: Nylon
  • Elastomer Options: Buna, Silicone, Viton¹

Operating Limits

Maximum Pressure Drop:

  • 60 psid (4.0 bar) @ 122°F (50°C)
  • 15 psid (1.0 bar) @ 176°F (80°C)
  • 7.5 psid (0.5 bar) @ 302°F (150°C)

Recommended Change-out Pressure Drop:

  • 25 psid (1.4 bar) @ 77°F (25°C)

Removal Efficiency: The removal efficiency is based on a modified ASTM 795 procedure. Efficiency of nominal filters varies by application. See the official PDF for exact tabulated values for 90.0%, 99.0%, and 99.9% removal ratings. The nominal rating is primarily used to compare efficiencies across a filter family; it is dependent on particle shape, size, composition, application, and testing protocol.
