Summary

Product identification

POREX MacroFlow PE Tubes are constructed from porous polyethylene (HDPE or UHMWPE), offering an omnidirectional porous structure suitable for filtration and separation, as well as cleaning and backwash processes.

They are available in the following nominal pore sizes:

  • 5 micron
  • 10 micron
  • 20 micron
  • 50 micron

The material complies with the Code of Federal Regulations, Title 21, Section 177.1520 Item 2.1, for food contact.

Applications

  • Diatomaceous Earth pre-coat tubes, in food, beverage, and industrial applications
  • Fine pore filtration for commercial and residential water treatment
  • Candle filter performance for surface capture and backwash
  • Filtration of electroplating solution baths and other chemical processes
  • Pre-RO for municipal and industrial water

Features and Benefits

  • Rigid, lightweight Schedule 40 PVC sized tubes are easy to handle and can be easily fabricated into piping systems with off-the-shelf components.
  • High-Density Polyethylene tubes have excellent resistance to chemicals and abrasion.
  • Omnidirectional porous structure provides uniform pore distribution.
  • Material complies with the Code of Federal Regulations, Title 21, Section 177.1520 Item 2.1, for food contact.

Mechanical / hydraulic

POREX MacroFlow PE Tubes are designed to fit standard Schedule 40 PVC end fittings and couplings. Polyurethane and polypropylene endcaps are available on 2.4 inch OD tubes.
