Summary
Product identification
Veolia M Series filters are spun-bonded polypropylene plastic cartridges infused with patented chemistry that increases the hydrophobic nature of the material, rendering it highly oil absorbent and water repellant. These filters are engineered to remove hydrocarbons from water in a single pass.
Hydrocarbons form a tenacious bond to the filter media surfaces throughout the depth of the filter to prevent absorbed hydrocarbons from separating and re-emulsifying in filter housing process streams.
Benefits:
- Instantly absorb contacted oil
- Triboelectrically inert and will not generate static charge
- Non-shredding, durable
- Environmentally safe
- Minimizes waste
Mechanical / hydraulic
- Configuration: Absorbent filter cartridge, designed for use in standard DOE (double open end) filter housings.
- Filter lengths: 10 & 30 inch (25.4 & 76.2 cm)
- Filter diameter: 2.5 inch (6.4 cm)
- Nominal pore size: 5 microns
- Flow rates: Up to 5 gpm/10 inches (1.1 m³/h per 25.4 cm)
- Oil capacity: 4 to 10 lbs. of oil per 1 lb. of media (1.8 to 4.5 kg of oil per 0.45 kg of media)
Feed water
Veolia M Series filters are designed to absorb hydrocarbons from various water sources.
Example Materials Absorbed:
- Tank berm runoff
- Waste drum cleaning solution
- Rinse water
- Grinding/cutting fluid
- Parking lot rainwater runoff
- Bilge water
- Loading/unloading berm runoff
- Process water
- Compressor condensate
- Industrial wastewater
