The Veolia MBB series filters are heavy-duty hydrocarbon removal filter cartridges. These are larger, 4 inches in diameter, spunbound polypropylene plastic cartridges infused with patented chemistry.
Description and Use
Veolia MBB series filters are engineered to remove hydrocarbons from water in a single pass. The patented chemistry increases the hydrophobic nature of the material, rendering it highly oil absorbent and water repellent. Hydrocarbons form a tenacious bond to the filter media throughout the depth of the filter, preventing absorbed hydrocarbons from separating and re-emulsifying.
MBB filters are designed to maximize effective contact area and minimize weight, absorbing oil with minimal water absorption to reduce disposal costs. They are intended for use in standard DOE (double open end) filter housings, which are available in sizes varying from one cartridge to 54 cartridges.
